This sake has been made with a rice variety local to Miyagi prefecture called Kura no Hana. It has been brewed to be very food friendly and to have low residual sugar, so it feels on the dry side of the sake spectrum. There are gentle aromas of pear, passion fruit and a touch of fresh banana. The palate mirrors this fruitiness, with a well-rounded body then the sake dissipates quickly with citrus-like acidity. This sake does not tire the palate and is easy to drink alongside foods throughout a long dining experience. A great sake for those exploring sake for the first time as it has a great balance of fruitiness and umami.
