Eco-Friendly Polyolefin Hose — PVC Replacement with Low VOC and Low Outgassing

The Flex-Tube EF is a medium-weight clear co-extruded polyolefin elastomer hose with a rigid external polypropylene helix. It is an environmentally friendly PVC replacement — delivering low outgassing and low VOC compared to standard PVC hose. The spiral co-extruded construction provides good chemical and abrasion resistance, and the external helix acts as a wearstrip for drag-along protection. Wall thickness ranges from .028" (2.5"–4") to .035" (6"–10"). Available up to 8" ID.

Where the Flex-Tube EF Fits

This hose is well-suited for insulation blowing and removal, straw blowing, landscaping debris, dust collection, chemical fume extraction, silica dust removal, pollution control, construction air handling, and general fume ventilation. The low-VOC, low-outgassing construction makes it the right call in environments where PVC off-gassing is a concern or where environmental compliance requires a PVC-free alternative.

Compared to the Rest of the Flex-Tube Line

The EF is the eco-friendly option. For standard polyurethane dust collection and vacuum use, the Flex-Tube PV and Flex-Tube PU offer proven polyurethane construction. For ultra-lightweight vacuum, the Flex-Tube PE is the polyethylene option at .012" wall.
