Cherry chews were one of the first flavors I developed, and this recipe has stayed pretty much the same. I use cherry flavoring from Natures Flavors, botanical-based, with a clean, classic cherry taste that isn't candy-medicine territory.

The base is organic unsalted butter, glucose syrup, and pure granulated cane sugar. Color comes from a combination of beet and red radish, giving them that deep, warm red. Each 80g resealable bag holds 10 to 11 individually wrapped chews.

If you want the sour version, the Sour Cherry Chews have a citric acid coating that really brings out the fruitiness.

Keep at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight. Refrigerating them will extend their freshness.
