Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate

Class Date: Sunday, June 28 - 12pm-4pm

Come stitch up a sweet, zippered pouch! In this class, we'll be making the Large Size of the 'Hello Pouches' by Knot + Thread.

The Hello Pouch features a quilted base for stability and a vinyl top - choose clear vinyl so you can see all the contents, or use one of our new colorful jelly vinyl material! Once you learn how to make one it'll be a breeze to make the other sizes to gift to your family and friends.

During this 2-week class, students will practice their quilting and binding skills, learn how to make a boxed bottom bag, insert a zipper, and learn how to work with vinyl material.  This class is suitable students who have prior bag making + sewing with zippers experience. Quilting experience is helpful but not required for this project.

Finished Sizes of Large Pouch:

• 7-1/2" H x 6-3/4" W x 4-1/4" D

Required Materials:

• (1) Pattern: Hello Pouches by Knot + Thread
• 1/4 yard for main fabric
• 1/4 yard for lining fabric
• 1/4 yard for binding fabric
• (1) 5" x 24" piece of jelly vinyl or clear vinyl
• (1) 8" x 24" piece of Soft & Stable
• (1) 26" zipper - we recommend using zipper by the yard
•  (1) spool of coordinating thread

Required Tools:

• fabric scissors or rotary cutter + acrylic ruler
