Star Series

Abe Vega is the first of the brewery’s STAR series which is designed to support new and experimental challenges for sake production utilising local rice and promoting the vision that Abe has for the future. The label on the bottle depicts the rice field where the sake rice was grown and is actually an enhanced photo taken by Abe-san himself. This sake is named after Vega the first magnitude star of the constellation Lyra.

Vega is best served in a wine glass where the fresh, gentle and fruity aromas of the sake can be expressed and appreciated. It has a light, refreshing and sometimes zesty feeling on the tongue with muscat grape, prince melon and apple skin flavours with a sharp citrus acidity creating a clean finish to the sake. The sake has a single pasteurisation in the bottle which barely restrains the vibrant freshness contained within. Thoroughly modern, clean, bright and light are the key words for this sake. Refrigerated storage is recommended.
