The DJI Matrice 4TD with RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced Controller is the standalone, pilot-on-station configuration of the dock-optimized Matrice 4TD platform. It pairs the same airframe that flies from DJI Dock 3 — four-module sensor stack, integrated RTK, low-noise anti-ice propellers, 54-minute flight time, IP55 environmental protection — with the rugged DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced Controller. Operators get the M4TD's superior specs without committing to a dock deployment, and can add the dock later if the program scales toward 24/7 autonomous operations.

Batteries sold separately. This standalone bundle does not include a flight battery. The Matrice 4TD uses the DJI Matrice 4D Series Intelligent Flight Battery (6,768 mAh, 22.14 V, 149.9 Wh, Li-ion 6S, 400-cycle), with self-heating low-temperature charging. Most operators run a minimum of two to three batteries for sustained field operations through the included 240 W charging hub.

Sensor and mission features

• AI Spot-Check. Saves a reference framing and exposure, then reproduces the same shot on subsequent flights. Critical for repeatable inspection of towers, substations, perimeters, and infrastructure where the same asset is photographed across months.
• PinPoint. Tap a target in the live feed; the aircraft computes real-world coordinates using gimbal pointing, RTK position, and the 1,800 m laser rangefinder, and broadcasts them to ground crews or to other aircraft.
• Wire detection. Omnidirectional sensing detects obstacles as small as 12 mm at speeds up to 15 m/s, with the M4 Series Obstacle Sensing Module (sold separately) extending detection range further when needed.
• Night Scene mode. Boosts low-light sensitivity on the visible cameras for nighttime DFR, surveillance, and inspection work, complementing the thermal camera for any-light-condition operations.
• Lens defogging. All three RGB sensors support active defogging, useful in humid, cold, or coastal environments where condensation otherwise compromises image quality.
• 100 MP panorama and Smart Capture across all three RGB sensors, with both UHR Infrared Image mode (1280 × 1024) and normal-resolution thermal photo capture.

Operating modes

• Manual flight with RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced. The aircraft flies as a standard pilot-on-station enterprise drone, with full DJI Pilot 2 access on the controller's 7.02-inch high-bright display, 25 km transmission range under FCC, and IP54 weather sealing on the controller.
• Future Dock 3 expansion. The same airframe is compatible with DJI Dock 3 for autonomous operations. An operator who starts with this standalone configuration can later purchase Dock 3 and use this same aircraft, without re-buying the airframe or sensor stack.
• Multi-aircraft fleet. The RC Plus 2 Enterprise Enhanced controller supports the entire Matrice 4 Series (4TD, 4D, 4T, 4E), so an agency running mixed M4-family aircraft can standardize on one controller type.
