The embroidered canopy is decorated with Eucharistic symbols, such as the IHS, the golden Eucharistic chalice with the host hovering over it, from which rays are beaming, the Chi Rho sign, signifying Christ, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, surrounded by rays. Moreover, the canopy is decorated, also embroidered, with a floral theme. It consists of golden thistles. In turn, the background for the symbols are vines with fruit and ears of wheat. In addition, at the bottom of the canopy is a White Dove, which symbolizes the Holy Spirit.
