My mom would always tell me “God is in control.” I never understood that until my diagnosis of Stage IV/Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) 12 years ago. I was terrified after learning that the average life expectancy of an MBC patient is only 3-5 years. I wanted to rush the process, rush God, and rush my healing. MBC is treatable but not curable. God placed it on my heart to share my story, but first I needed to be in an emotionally healthy place.
