This artwork celebrates the heritage embodied at Petra in Jordan. This white camel is just one of the sites that you can marvel at when entering the ancient city that is now home to many indigenous people. At Petra, they often provide camel and donkey rides to tourists for a small fee. While exploring the World Heritage City, I admired not only the ancient architecture but also the animals that called Petra home. In this artwork, I focused on a resting camel that basks in the sun right in front of ancient tombs.
