These sterling silver sugar tongs are in the shape of a hunting or riding spur
The outer surface of one arm is hallmarked Birmingham 1904 and has the stamp of Levi & Salaman.

The other arm is also hallmarked

The tongs are "single sprung", which means that only one arm moves.
The end of each arm ends in a silver button.

The inner surface of each arm end has cross-hatched engraving to help grip

The neck of the spur has a bulbous ends which holds a small many pointed rowel that still turns.
