Oh...this bag is SO gorgeous! Sleek, structured, and well thought out, the Madison Collection was a very chic departure for Coach. This Carnegie Clutch is from the first year of release, in a color they called Maple. It is a convertible bag, easily going from day to night thanks to the removable strap and the near flat laying top handle, it can be a shoulder bag, a top handle bag, or a clutch! It was not an inexpensive purse when it was released either; at $220, this (and all the Madison Collection) were on the upper end of Coach's quality line. Like with any quality piece, it doesn't cost.. it pays. This bag is still stunning 20+ years later, and there's not another one that I can find available right now for purchase!

~CONDITION:

Excellent vintage condition! there is no excessive corner wear, no popped stitches, and no staining. It does look like it might have rubbed up against something white, as there is the faintest of white marks on the high point of the leather (shown in a closeup shot) both on the front and the back, and one dark scrape on the back by the handle. They're really only noticeable close up, but I have to call them out regardless. This bag has been cleaned with saddle soap, dried, lightly conditioned, and is ready to head off on its next (hopefully fabulous) adventure!
