[Fritchai's fearless and incisive live performance! The live recording from the "Light Music Week" in October 1955 is now available from the SWR archives. Light music, of course, does not mean pop music as we know it today, but rather classical music that can be listened to relatively lightly. The program was highly original and interesting. Zimmermann's "Kabokuro" is the first recording of Flitchai's repertoire, and is noteworthy because of his deep understanding of the music of his time. The soloists for "Burleske" and Honegger's "Concertino" are Marguerite Weber, the same soloist who recorded with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra at the same time for DG, and the recording has been carefully remastered from the original SWR tapes.
