Herrmann, Arnulf (1968-)
Description:
Founded in 2006, "musica viva" is an ongoing series of contemporary music concerts organized by the Bavarian Radio Orchestra since 1945, and Vol. 41 features works by Arnulf Hermann, a composer born in Heidelberg in 1968. Starting with ensemble and chamber works, Hermann has recently been involved in orchestral and stage productions, and this album includes "Three Songs at the Window," based on texts by Hermann himself and Hendur Krauss, as well as other vocal works. Anja Petersen is the soprano who played the leading role in Hermann's opera "The Devil King" to great acclaim. The performance also features noted conductor Pablo Elas-Casado. Naxos Japan
