The altitude here gives a freshness to an otherwise dark-fruited Tempranillo with hints of chocolate and spice. It's an ideal red to drink on a cool evening, but stands up very well to stews and casseroles too.

Selected vineyards from the lower parts of Paniza's terroir at around 400-500m altitude where the soils are sand-rich, ideal for Tempranillo in this climate.

Vinification details: After crushing and de-stemming, the grape macerates for 6 days and fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks with several rackings per day. After malolactic fermentation the wine is decanted, clarified and stabilized. Finally, the wine will be filtered before being bottled.
