An exquisite wood engraving by artist Howard Phipps. 

The beautifully intricate engraving itself measures just 7cm x 4cm. It is framed in a lime washed wooden frame.

Howard's wood engravings have been cut on the end grain of a block of very hard Boxwood using very fine tools. The final image is printed by hand using an Albion Press which was made in 1862. The limited editions are printed on either Arches, or Zerkall acid free papers, signed , numbered and titled in pencil.

This particular engraving is number 41 out of the limited edition of 100.
