Godowsky's problematic works, performed by Scherbakov, are finally available! The series of "Godowsky: Piano Works" by Scherbakov began in 1996. Since that time, fans have been wondering when the "Exercises from Chopin's Etudes" would be released, and now it finally is. This collection, which music critic Harold Schoenberg described as "the most difficult work ever written for the piano," is a collection of Chopin's Etudes Etudes, which were originally difficult to play, but Godowsky has made them even more difficult by adding his own arrangements. Some of the pieces are played by the left hand only, but some of the pieces are attempts to play several exercises at the same time, which is a true masterpiece of technical skill. The arrangements are interesting not only for the performers but also for the listeners, as they all have complex voices, intertwined melodies, and in some cases have been modified to the point that they no longer resemble the original works.
